Liselotte Schuppers was born in the Netherlands in 1977 and based in Utrecht, after graduating in 2001 in Art and Design at the AKI in Enschede.
Her fashion photography style is storytelling, highlighting unexpected moments and a natural attitude in her models, who are portrayed as a whole, avoiding any poses. She mainly shoots on location, with a preference for unusual indoor spaces, where she can sense the presence and personality of the tenants. And outdoors in nature. Liselotte’s subjects are the most important part of her shoots, as they dictate the final mood of her sets of images: unique and interesting traits are preferred over a pretty face.
